Khayla Potter is the proud owner and founder of KP Artistry Studios. Her dance journey began in high school at Andrew Jackson, where she discovered her talent as an auxiliary dancer and quickly developed a passion for the art of movement. During her Junior year, Khayla was crowned Ms. Andrew Jackson (2012–2013), a role that highlighted her leadership and dedication.
She went on to attend Florida A&M University, where she earned her Health Science Degree and became a member of the Diamonds organization. As captain from 2015–2016, she led with excellence while coordinating performances and community service initiatives. It was during this time that Khayla realized dance is more than movement; it is a powerful way to inspire, uplift, and give back to the community.
Today, Khayla serves as the Dance Instructor and Arts Coordinator at Impact Christian Academy, where she teaches young girls to discover their God-given gifts and talents while deepening their faith in Christ. Through KP Artistry Studios, she continues to build a safe, faith-filled environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and purpose both on and off the stage.
Khayla’s mission is simple: to empower students through movement, rooted in faith, and to inspire the next generation to shine with confidence, discipline, and grace.
Tavion Childress is a dedicated and passionate dancer whose love for the art shines through every performance. Trained in ballet, jazz, and contemporary, he has built a strong foundation over more than 8 years of experience. Throughout his journey, Tavion has performed in productions such as The Nutcracker, Ensemble for Chicago, Ensemble for Joseph, and he is the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat of 2021, along with several major community performances, showcasing both his technical skill and expressive artistry.
What sets Tavion apart is his commitment to growth, not only as an instructor, but as a lifelong student of dance. He continues to take classes and train regularly, believing that in order to give his best to his students, he must always strive to be his best. This dedication allows him to bring fresh perspectives, new techniques, and a spirit of excellence into every class he teaches.
Tavion’s mission is to provide dancers of all levels with a well-rounded dance education that emphasizes technique, creativity, and confidence. He aims to equip each student with the tools they need to succeed, whether their goals are to pursue dance professionally or to simply grow in discipline, artistry, and self-expression. Above all, Tavion strives to inspire his students to see dance as more than movement, it is a powerful form of storytelling, worship, and personal growth.
